THE LORE — THE INSTRUCTOR'S CURSE
In the autumn of 1887, the Blackwood family vanished overnight. Only one thing remained: a single letter pinned to the manor’s front door. It read: “Return the heart of the mountain, or join us in the silence.” Decades later, you — a disgraced historian — inherit the property. But the letters keep coming. Each one rewrites history. The Instructor, an entity born from a failed ritual, cannot be destroyed, only obeyed. Your mother’s ghost is a puppet. The true antagonist is a curse that feeds on guilt.
As you descend into the manor’s catacombs, you uncover the truth: the “heart” is a crystalline organ, stolen by your ancestor. To return it, you must sacrifice your own memories — or trap the Instructor inside yourself. The game features six endings: three “good” (with terrible costs) and three “bad” where you become the next Instructor.
